            Wisconsin Rural Water to Hold Management Conference

            Wisconsin Rural Water Association (WRWA) will be holding their 7th Annual Management Conference on November 29 & 30, 2006 in Stevens Point, WI. This conference will focus on unique challenges facing Water and Wastewater utility clerical and managerial staff. This year’s keynote speaker will be Portage County Executive, Mark Maslowski. The conference consists of workshops, educational sessions, and an exhibition hall. Guest speakers from the Public Service Commission, Department of Natural Resources and industry specialists will share their knowledge and expertise.

            The goal of Rural Water training and technical assistance is to create a network of support and education to assist Water and Wastewater systems deal with the complex issues of today’s industry. The Wisconsin affiliate of the National Rural Water Association has a staff of 18, consisting of trainers, water and wastewater circuit riders, source water specialists, ground water specialists and office support staff.
