City of Elroy, home of the Elroy-Sparta State Bike Trail and the 400 State Bike Trail, as well as the Omaha County Bike Trail, and located in West Central Wisconsin, is accepting applications from qualified individuals for the position of City Administrator. This position serves as the Chief Administrative Officer of the City of Elroy and is responsible for the proper administration of all activities of the City. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who will oversee all aspects of city government, including responsibilities over all departments, budget development and implementation, utility management, streets, tourism and parks. The Common Council desires an individual with experience in city budgets, personnel management, utility management, code enforcement, planning and development. Must be an effective communicator with strong leadership skills and a commitment to citizen service. We would like an individual with a high level of integrity when dealing with employees and citizens. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Planning, or a closely related field and a minimum of five years progressively responsible administrative and management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Residency within the city is preferred. The City of Elroy offers a competitive compensation and benefit package in which the salary will be based on qualifications, with a minimum of $60,000.
