2012 WRWA Sportsman's Raffle

Raffle Update...

With great anticipation of the upcoming WRWA Annual Technical Conference, it's a great pleasure to announce the 19th Annual Sportsman's Raffle as, yet again, a regular part of the festivities.
However, with an upgrade of our State Raffle License from Class B to Class A, we wanted to let everyone know that there will be several changes in our raffle operations that vendors and operators need to be prepared for this year.
For the vendors, please note that any gifts with a value over $500 need to be called in by an EXACT date so that they can be printed on the raffle tickets. We will list that date on the solicitation letter we send out this year. Any gift that comes in after that specific date will need to be broken up into gifts smaller than the stated amount.

For the operators and purchasers of the tickets, please be aware that we'll be using a new ticket printing format this year which may cause a few extra minutes while purchasing your tickets. We apologize for the inconvenience, but this is necessary to meet state laws, ensure accuracy and integrity in the process and show our commitment to meeting all State Gaming Requirements so that our raffle can continue. As per past years, we'll be accepting cash, checks, and credit cards so come with your commitment to support this fundraiser as a part of your overall giving strategy as you have for the past almost two decades of support.
The partnership between the WRWA Board, WRWA Staff, Sportsman's Raffle Committee and volunteers has never been stronger as we work together to continue the dream of building the WRW Foundation as a funding vehicle for scholarships, education, and the training of the future operators in this great state we all call home.

We now have a call out to any of you who would like to be involved in the partnership of building this raffle every year. Please let committee members know of your interest in being involved and we will put you to work. The raffle is about all of us in the water & wastewater industries, the proceeds are about building the future beyond all of us. And the thrill of doing something good while winning something cool is alive in all of us.
The Sportsman's Raffle at the Wisconsin Rural Water Conference is the most successful fundraiser that benefits the operators directly in the entire country because of the passion that you all bring to it. It exists for all of us with only a few simple principles that were set up in the very first year of its founding that continue on to this day. To fund the education, training, and future of the operators in Wisconsin; To support the Annual Conference and help make it the "Go-To" training event of the year; and to give special recognition to the Vendors who choose to step up and do something substantial with their commitment of the prizes.
There are no words to express our heartfelt appreciation for your support over these many years, but we would be remiss without once again saying THANK YOU for continuing to support and help build our raffle into what it is, and hopefully what it can continue to be in the future.
