Treatment Plant Mechanic
Two Rivers Public Wastewater Treatment Facility

The Two Rivers Wastewater Treatment Facility is accepting applications for a full-time Treatment Plant Mechanic. Position requires knowledge skills and experience pertinent to the maintenance, operations, and safety practices employed in a modern wastewater treatment facility.

Must be able to work from sketches, drawings, and blueprints. Must possess valid Wisconsin driver's license with all applicable CDL endorsements or be able to obtain CDL license. Position requires high school diploma along with an associate degree in maintenance mechanics or electromechanical technology, or a minimum four years relevant experience in mechanical maintenance involving equipment similar to that found at a wastewater treatment facility.

Starting pay $16.65/hour, increasing to $17.62 /hour after satisfactory completion of a 6-month probation period, and $19.58 after 24 months. Excellent fringe benefits.

Lab Technician: The City of Whitewater is seeking a Wastewater Operator-Lab Technician for their Wastewater Treatment Plant. A Bachelor's Degree in Water Resources, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Wastewater Treatment Facility is preferred. The successful candidate will have 2 years of experience specific to laboratory, supervisory experience desired. Completion of WDNR sub-class J certification or ability to complete within 1 year of hire is required. Additional certifications that pertain to the facility are: A, B, E, F, G, H and I.

Responsibilities include supervision of support lab personnel, administering the lab QA/QC program, organization and interpretation of data, performing daily permitted and process tests, maintaining instrumentation, equipment, and necessary lab inventory, and performing operator duties as scheduled. The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of computers along with proven written and oral communication skills. Participation in a rotating weekend schedule is also required.
