The Village of Poynette has an opening for a Full-Time Public Works Maintenance Worker. The position performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks in maintenance work, and operates equipment in the construction, operation, repair, maintenance, and replacement of Village water, wastewater, street, street light, building, and storm drainage facilities. High school graduate or equivalent is required. CDL/Heavy equipment operator’s license is required prior to employment or ability to acquire within 60-days of hire. Municipal utility maintenance experience, Municipal Waterworks Operator Certification, Wastewater Operator Certification, and computer skills are all a plus. Drug testing will be required. Rotating weekend and possible holiday work as needed.
Starting salary begins at $18.50 per hour; depending upon experience. The Village of Poynette offers a benefits package including participation in the Wisconsin Retirement System, health and dental insurance, life insurance, holiday and vacation time.
