TRI-LAKES TO MONITOR CREEK FOR CAFO EFFECTS

Tri-Lakes Management District soon will begin monitoring Spring Branch Creek — which feeds into northern Adams County lakes — to measure its water quality and any potential effects a nearby proposed large scale dairy might have. The flow monitoring of the creek was approved in December by Tri-Lakes Management District, a statutory taxing body devoted to maintaining the quality and appearance of Lakes Camelot, Sherwood and Arrowhead in the town of Rome area. The monitoring, which will start this spring, will establish a baseline measurement for the creek’s phosphorous and nitrate levels. http://www.wisconsinrapidstribune.com/story/news/local/2015/01/22/spring-branch-creek-monitoring-adams-county-cafo-dairy/22171719/
