Water & Sewer Operator In Charge

The City of Washburn is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Water & Sewer Operator In Charge within the Department of Public Works. This is a full time, 40-hour per week position requiring the successful applicant to work a schedule of Monday through Friday and any emergency or non-emergency call-outs as determined by the City.

The successful candidate must have good working knowledge of water distribution systems and wastewater treatment facilities; must have an outstanding driving record, must be able to obtain and keep a Wisconsin General Wastewater Certificate and hold subclasses A-1, B, C, D, and P; and a Groundwater and Water Distribution Certificate issued by the State of Wisconsin; and must have high school diploma or equivalent. Candidate must also successfully pass a physical examination and drug and alcohol screen, and background check. Previous experience as a water and wastewater operator is required.  All other job requirements are outlined in the job description.

The base rate of pay for 2017 is $21.72. That rate may be subject to wage progression based on qualifications.  Excellent fringe benefit package.
