Town of Rome Water Utility is currently seeking a full-time Accountant/Officer Manager.  The primary purpose of the position is as a full-cycle accountant, completing all business office tasks, including but not limited to, quarterly and annual billing, monthly financial reporting, and daily customer service requirements.  Additional responsibilities include the general management and coordination of customer communication and services, along with customer account management.  Experience in a private or public utility is a strong plus.  This position is appointed by the Town of Rome Water Utility Commission, and works under the Commission’s policy guidance and direction.

A bachelor’s degree in business administration with an accounting emphasis, plus experience as an Accountant/Office Manager in a customer service based organization is preferred.  Any combination of education and experience that has provided the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for the Accountant/Office Manager position will be considered.  Qualified candidates should be team-focused, exceptionally detail oriented, have proven financial and analytical skills and value strong customer service.
