City of Columbus, WI is seeking a Line Foreman at Columbus Utilities, our municipally owned and operated electric and water utilities.
Position Summary
The Line Foreman oversees the construction and maintenance of the electric distribution system of Columbus Utilities, the City of Columbus’s municipally electric utility. This is a working position and is responsible for daily operations, work scheduling and line crew leadership. The Line Foreman reports to the Municipal Services Director.
Responsibilities include
As the Line Foreman of the Columbus Utilities team, they have primary responsibility for all aspects of daily electric utility operations and line crew leadership. This is a working line worker position with a 30-minute response time to Columbus Water & Light and required standby time.

Requirements
- Preferred minimum of 10 years journey level worker with supervisory experience.
- Required high school diploma or GED and completion of Line worker apprenticeship.
- Valid Wisconsin Commercial Driver’s license – class A.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Project management experience.
- First Aid and CPR certified.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $97,760 – $106,080 per year, depending on experience.
