News 8 Now Investigates sources of PFAS contamination on French Island.  The city of La Crosse wants the state to help identify all the sources of drinking water contamination affecting hundreds of homes on French Island. The wells are contaminated with PFAS.

La Niña could bring ‘roller coaster’ weather across Wisconsin this spring as high water levels could bring coastal flooding in some areas.  Meteorologists say the outlook for spring flooding is normal but warn of potential “rollercoaster” weather from the La Niña weather pattern as spring begins in Wisconsin.

Wisconsin’s local governments to see $2.3B windfall from federal COVID relief package.  Local officials expressed relief but were still scrambling Monday to figure out how to spend some $2.3 billion expected to be delivered in the next two years as part of the federal COVID relief bill.

I received my COVID-19 Vaccine yesterday!  I went through the Wisconsin DHS website and scheduled through the county Health Department, in conjunction with my Health Provider (Mayo Health Care Systems).  Phase 1b eligibility will help with the ability to get your vaccine.  I tried several other counties as an experiment and some had appointments and others didn’t have any for a while.  All offered sites and contact information for questions.  I went to  , picked my county, went to the county website and kept clicking on COVID-19 information until I got to Vaccine Appointments.  You may have to scroll around a little to find the links but you will eventually get there.  I have heard of many operators getting vaccinated along with the Police, Firefighters and other nearby Utilities.  Keep an ear out with your neighboring systems and try to get vaccinated along with them.  Also, it is really advisable to work with your health care providers to set up vaccine appointments.
