Years Later, Wisconsin Voters Remember Act 10:  It’s been more than seven years since Gov. Scott Walker first introduced the bill now known as Act 10 that all but eliminated the union rights of most public employees.

Trump signs water infrastructure bill that includes Baldwin’s Buy America mandate:  The water-infrastructure bill that President Donald Trump signed into law this week includes a provision pushed by U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin requiring contractors to use American-made iron and steel on federal projects.

Lannon students are drinking bottled water after school water turns up contaminated:  After discovering E. coli and coliform bacteria in the Lannon Elementary School water last month, the Hamilton School District is slated to finish a new water hookup in December.

A ‘One-Stop-Shop,’ Disaster Recovery Center Opens In Reedsburg:  Eight Wisconsin counties received a presidential disaster declaration earlier this month, in the wake of widespread flooding. The Federal Emergency Management Agency declaration makes funds available to people struggling to rebuild.

Wisconsin permits wells in areas judge ruled pumping would harm trout streams:  Wisconsin has approved new high-capacity-well applications in sensitive areas where permits were invalidated by a judge last year because heavy water withdrawals could damage nearby streams.
