City of New Richmond is seeking a motivated and energetic team player to join our highly effective Public Works team. This position will assist with day-to-day operational tasks within the water department with duties ranging maintaining the City’s wells, water distribution system, and wastewater collection system. This is a regular full-time position and will require some standby work on a rotating basis and emergency call outs as necessary.
The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of drinking water distribution as well as operation and maintenance of a variety of equipment associated with the operation of the water distribution and wastewater collection systems. However, candidates with good mechanical aptitude and a great attitude will be considered, and training will be provided as necessary.
This position requires strong interpersonal skills to interact with staff and the general public. Candidate must possess skills to identify and solve problems in the field.
Employees must be at least eighteen years of age and possess a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License and CDL. Consideration will be given to candidates with the ability to obtain a CDL within 6 months of hire. High School diploma or GED is required and two years of related work experience is preferred.
