The Village of Necedah (915) is seeking a qualified applicant for Public Works Coordinator. The position includes supervising and managing the Public Works Department. The applicant should have knowledge of water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, streets, parks, and wastewater treatment systems. The ideal applicant would hold the following WDNR water and wastewater certifications: Distribution (D), Groundwater (G), and Iron Removal (I), Biological Treatment-Suspended Growth Processes (A1), Disinfection (D), Solid Separation (B), Solids Treatment (C), and Collection System (SS), and completed General Wastewater. In the near future, there will be an additional certification required – Nutrient (P). The individual hired for the Public Works Coordinator position will be working with a modern water and wastewater system. The water system received numerous upgrades over the past 15 years to include water main replacement/new installation, water treatment plant – iron removal and an additional well. The wastewater treatment plant (SBR) was constructed in 2000 and is in very good condition. The village will soon have the water distribution and sewer collection system on an ArcGIS online mapping system. The village uses SCADA to monitor and control the water and sewer systems. The position will require computer skills. The position is a salaried position that involves weekend work. Salary range will be between $48,000 and $55,000, + benefits.
