City of Weyauwega is seeking applications for a full-time position of Public Works/Utility Laborer. This position will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day operation, maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment in Wastewater, Municipal Water System, Streets and Parks. General work schedule is Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM. This is an hourly non-exempt position with a rotating “on-call” schedule outside of regular business hours. This position will also assist Public Works staff with other necessary duties that may include but not limited to: snow plowing, lawn mowing and assistance to water and street maintenance and/or other projects.

Applicants are required to possess WI DNR Wastewater Certification and Groundwater Distribution. Candidates will be encouraged to further their certifications in Advanced Wastewater, General Water and Collection Systems as appropriate and available. Must have exceptional communication abilities and knowledge of the various methods, materials, tools and equipment used in this type of environment. Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License with class B CDL with air brake is required or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire. Wages DOQ, the City of Weyauwega also offers an attractive benefit package.
