DESCRIPTION:
Grounds maintenance duties at the City of Waukesha Clean Water Plant grounds. Including cutting and trimming grass, building cleaning, painting and other miscellaneous tasks as needed.
Seasonal Hours: Memorial Day – Labor Day, Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Hours may vary depending on operational needs.
Hourly rate: $13.00
EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Essential Duties:
Ability to operate equipment in a safe manner Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must comply with City policies and procedures
Experience in grounds keeping including cutting and trimming grass, weeding, watering and trimming hedges or shrubbery
Miscellaneous building maintenance (cleaning, painting, etc.)

Work is performed mostly outdoors; hand-eye coordination is necessary to operate equipment and machinery.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally in excess of 50 pounds.
Minimum qualifications & Requirements
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver’s license
Must be 18 years of age or older and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred:
Experience on lawn mower and trimmers
Student in field of environmental studies or related field
