New 40-year agreement means Oak Creek will continue providing water to the City of Franklin – The Oak Creek Water and Sewer Utility has been providing filtered and treated Lake Michigan water to the Franklin Municipal Water Utility for the last three decades. The new agreement “will ensure the residents and businesses of Franklin will continue to receive high-quality drinking water” through Oak Creek, according to a Sept. 5 news release from the City of Franklin. City to award $500K to homeowners for sump pump installation – Racine homeowners can now apply for a grant from the city to install a sump pump, the city announced Tuesday.
