America’s Water Infrastructure Act of 2018 requires community water systems serving more than 3,300 people to develop risk and resilience assessments by June 30, 2021 and emergency response plans no later than six months after certifying completion of the risk and resilience assessment. The law requires specific components that the risk and resilience assessments and ERPs must address. This class reviews the requirements for community water systems under AWIA 2018 and helps system operators get started with meeting those requirements.
EPA AWIA software will be used to get attendees started in the process of AWIA reports and certifications. Attendees should bring a laptop or pad computer to download and fill out AWIA information needs and begin the surveys with information from their own system. Attendees should leave the class with a headstart in filling out and completing the AWIA requirements.
Pre-Registration is required for this class.
