Water System Operations Basics – Operations and Maintenance & Cross Connection Control

Operations and Maintenance: The organization of the day to day operations and the maintenance is an important part of the compliance and success of a water utility. This portion of the series will educate students on what capacity development is and why it is important to the operation of a utility. Maintenance schedules, record keeping, and the importance of mapping will also be covered in the class.

Cross Connection Control:   Utilities throughout Wisconsin are required to have a cross connection control program that addresses this inherent problem. This session will give students an overview of the basic of cross connection control and the regulations that pertain to them.
