City of Pewaukee has an opening in our Water and Sewer Utility for a full-time Utility Maintenance Worker. The pay rate ranges from $20.97-23.97 per hour with a generous benefits package.
Examples of the duties of this position include:
- Assist in the inspection, evaluation and maintenance of pump stations, pump houses and water pumping equipment;
- Repair and maintain buildings and grounds;
- Exercise water valves and maintain valve records;
- Assist with seasonal hydrant flushing, maintenance and repair.
Qualified applicants will have a valid driver’s license; an acceptable driving record; knowledge of pumps, motors and controls; ability to read, understand and maintain public records and files including maps, records drawings and specifications; and have the ability to serve “on-call” and available to respond in person within 45 minutes of an emergency call. Applicants will also have a high school diploma or equivalent, have attended at least one year in technical education in Environmental Health and/or Water Quality Technology or have at least one year of public/private experience relating to water and sewer utility operations; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
