City of Burlington is looking for a full-time Water Operator to join their team. The City of Burlington Water Utility is a team of professionals who work hard every day to supply its customers with safe reliable water to be utilized in all aspects of life.

The Water Operator position performs various duties to efficiently operate and maintain the water distribution system in the City of Burlington. You could be a part of a vital service for the community by assisting with water main repair, valve repair, hydrant maintenance, meter changes, pump station maintenance, and water tower maintenance to name a few.
Successful candidates must have a High School Diploma/GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain a Class B CDL with air brakes and tank endorsement within 1 year of hire. Candidates must also obtain WDNR Water Operator Certification within 18 months of hire. Paid, on the job, training for CDL and WDNR certifications is available.
Starting salary for this position is $25.12 – $28.71 per hour depending on qualifications.
