Water Treatment Manager

The City of Neenah Water Utility is looking for an experienced, motivated water professional to oversee the operation and maintenance of the municipal water treatment facilities.

The Water Treatment Manager is responsible for supervising the operation and maintenance of the Neenah Water Filtration Plant, laboratory facilities, and water storage facilities. The Water Treatment Manager oversees an experienced staff of water filtration plant operators and technicians.

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college with specialization in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, Management, or a related field preferred. Four years of surface water filtration plant operating/maintenance required, two (2) years in a supervisory/administrative or consultant position preferred. Must possess a valid Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) Water Treatment Plant Operator Certification at Grade 1 with subclasses in Distribution, Surface Water, and Lime Softening, or be able to obtain Grade 1 certification within 12 months of employment, and a valid State of Wisconsin Driver’s License.

This is a full time exempt position. The City of Neenah offers competitive pay and excellent benefits. Salary range is $62,467 to $93,743. Starting salary is negotiable, up to the midpoint of the range, depending on experience. The City of Neenah offers health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, participation in Wisconsin Retirement System, and paid sick leave and vacation.
