Village of Theresa is accepting applications for a Department of Public Works (DPW) Operator. This position performs a wide variety of duties in the maintenance and repair of village streets, utilities, parks, equipment, and facilities throughout the year.
Position Overview
The DPW Operator is responsible for:
- Street and utility maintenance and repair
- Park rounds and general upkeep
- Snow plowing and winter maintenance
- Year-round outdoor work including water and sewer system operations and street repairs
- Equipment operation, maintenance, and light repair
- Assisting with water and wastewater treatment operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of three (3) years of related experience preferred
- Heavy equipment operation experience and/or license is a plus
- State certifications in water treatment and sewer operations are highly desirable
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform manual labor
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly Pay: $22.02 – $25.10 (based on qualifications and experience)
- Additional compensation for certifications
