City of Beaver Dam Utilities is accepting applications for the position of Wastewater Systems Operator. The primary role of this position will be operation and maintenance of the Wastewater Facility and related infrastructure.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Operation and maintenance of the City of Beaver Dam wastewater treatment plant
- Operation and maintenance of infrastructure such as lift stations and the sanitary sewer collection system
- Use of computers for data entry and records
- May assist in maintenance and repairs with Water Utility
Essential Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of wastewater system processes and equipment.
- Basic knowledge of wastewater system infrastructure
- Ability to work with computer applications relative to data entry
- Certification as a licensed State of WI Wastewater Operator Basic general within one year of hire, followed by applicable subclasses
Desired Qualifications:
- Certification as a licensed State of WI Wastewater Operator, Basic or Advanced General with applicable subclasses
- Working knowledge of wastewater treatment processes
- Minimum 1-5 years of experience in wastewater treatment systems and collection system maintenance
- Knowledge of electrical, motors, pumps
Compensation:
- Hourly with overtime and on call pay, also includes an excellent benefits package. Hourly pay range is $25.47 – $34.77 /hour dependent upon experience, qualifications and State of WI DNR certifications.
