Join the Public Works & Utilities Department team as the next Public Works Technician! This is a continuous recruitment with interviews expected to start February 4.
This full-time position works Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with occasional overtime due to snow removal during winter months, other operational needs, and a rotating weekend schedule for the water utility.
The Public Works Technician performs a variety of maintenance, repair, and construction duties related to streets, utilities, stormwater, and public spaces. Work includes operating vehicles and equipment, patching pavement, plowing snow, maintaining signage, and other hands-on tasks that keep the Village running smoothly.
The position offers a $2,500 bonus for applicants with a valid Wisconsin CDL (Class B) at the time of hire and provides opportunities to develop skills in street, water, and sewer maintenance.
High school diploma or equivalent required. CDL Class B (or ability to obtain within six months) required, and prior experience in public works or construction is preferred.
The salary range for this position is $27 to $30 per hour, depending on qualifications, with an excellent benefit package.
