Village of Shorewood is seeking to fill the position of Utility Equipment Operator.
Under the general direction of the Public Works Director and Utility Superintendent, the position’s primary duties include some skilled and all semi-skilled sewer and water work with other assigned public works crew members. This position primarily works with the sewer and water crews. Tasks primarily include operating automotive and mechanical equipment such as trucks, loaders, skid steers, and backhoe. The position will be required to respond to emergency situations after hours including snow and ice operations.
Job Requirements
Minimum qualifications include a High School diploma or GED and at least two years of diversified public works laboring experience, including experience operating motorized equipment; or an equivalent combination of experience and training. Selected candidate must also successfully complete a drug test and physical to show they can perform the physical demands listed in the job description as well as the possession of a valid Wisconsin Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). A valid Grade I-D Water Works Operators License is preferred but not required.

Salary Range for FY2026: $28.54 – $40.15
