The Village of Sussex is accepting applications for the position of Wastewater Utility Internship. This position will have the opportunity to gain relative experience in the wastewater utility while assisting the utilities in its day to day operations.
Dates: May – August (These dates are flexible)
Daily Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (up to 40 hours per week)
Duties and responsibilities
- Daily lab sampling/testing of wastewater
- Plant and lift station maintenance
- Collection system flushing
- Building and grounds maintenance
Minimum Requirements
Candidates should be enrolled in a 2- or 4-year degree program in a related Environmental field and possess a valid state-issued driver’s license.
Benefits
Hourly Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour
