Location: Mazomanie, Wisconsin

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an entry level wastewater operator. As a member of the team, you will work under the guidance of the Superintendent and Lab Manager to learn how to operate all aspects of the treatment facility in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the day-to-day operations
  • Conduct regular checks and inspections to monitor equipment and process performance and identify potential issues.
  • Perform equipment maintenance.
  • Accurately record data, and maintenance activity in logs and computer systems.
  • Stay current with industry advancements, best practices, and regulatory changes related to wastewater treatment.
  • Learn to operate the sludge removal process and learn laboratory practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
  • Reside within 30 minutes of the facility for on call emergencies.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Basic or advanced wastewater operator’s license in the State of Wisconsin with any of the following subgrades: A1,B,C,P,D,L, and SS
  • Experience in wastewater treatment plant operations
  • Wastewater lab experience.
