(Morning – 3 Municipal Waterworks Credits & Afternoon – 3 Wastewater Credits)
The room will open at 7:30 am with the class starting PROMPTLY at 8:00 am. The class will end at 3:00 pm.
7:30 – 8:00 ~ Registration, coffee, donuts, and a chance to mingle
8:00 – 8:30 ~ Waterworks in the classroom: Proper operation, components, and troubleshooting of the Waterous Fire Hydrant. Bud Keyes American Flow Control (WRWA Corporate Gold Member)
8:30 – 9:30 ~ Out in the field: Work on a live hydrant. Demonstrate Maintenance, disassembly, assembly of fire hydrants, re-assemble Bud Keyes American Flow Control (WRWA Corporate Gold Member)
9:30 – 11:00 ~ Waterworks potholing for lead service line identification. Jared Happel Flow-Rite Pipe & Sewer Services
11:00 – 12:00 ~Lunch (on your own)
12:00 – 3:00 ~ Wastewater essentials ~ This session is an overview for new operators or experienced operators wanting a review of O&M, activated sludge, nutrient removal for nitrogen and phosphorus, troubleshooting, disinfection, ponds & lagoons, and safety & operator responsibilities.
