Village of Fox Crossing is accepting applications for a Director of Public Works to manage the operation and maintenance of the Street Department, Stormwater Utility, Water Utility, and Wastewater Utility for the Village of Fox Crossing and Fox Crossing Utilities.

This includes the maintenance and operations of Village roadways and the Village storm sewer system.   In addition, it includes all water treatment facilities, pumping stations, water towers, reservoirs, deep wells and the water distribution system, along with providing the management and operation of the municipal sanitary sewer collection system and lift stations, for Fox Crossing Utilities, in accordance with Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) regulations, and Public Service Commission (PSC) requirements. The work is performed under the direction of the Village Manager.

The starting annual salary is $96,404.98 to $114,962.92.  Actual salary will be based upon qualifications.

Minimum Job Requirements

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, public works administration, water and wastewater administration, or related field; or equivalent vocational/technical training in street, storm sewer, water and wastewater operations with at least seven years of street, storm sewer, or wastewater system/water plant supervisory experience; or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities. A Professional Engineer certification is a preferred qualification.

Required Certifications

DNR Groundwater Certification or ability to obtain within eighteen (18) months of hire date.

  • DNR Distribution Certification or ability to obtain within eighteen (18) months of hire date.
  • Zeolite Softening Certification or ability to obtain within eighteen (18) months of hire date.
  • WI Class A & B Underground Storage Tank Operator or ability to obtain within twelve (12) months of hire date
  • Valid driver’s license in the State of Wisconsin.
