Vacancy for a Laborer for the City of Beaver Dam. Employment to begin in May 2024. Work duties include, but are not limited to, brush pick-up, yard-site monitoring, snow plowing, street repair, storm sewer repair, traffic signal, and street light maintenance, and other miscellaneous and related departmental duties. May drive pickup trucks through 45,000 lb. GVW trucks. Will perform other duties as assigned and within employee capabilities. This position involves extensive strenuous manual labor. Must hold a valid Wisconsin driver’s license, including Commercial Drive License (CDL) for Class B with Air Brake and Tanker endorsements or must have passed written portions of same prior to employment, as a minimum, with full CDL obtained within 90 days from start of employment. Graduation from high school or have GED. Experience with electrical or mechanical a plus. Full benefit package offered by City. Starting wage will be commensurate with experience. Working hours are normally 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday – Friday. Ability to pass a criminal background check. a pre-employment drug test and physical.
