Walworth County Metropolitan Sewerage District (WalCoMet) plays an active role in protecting the environment and recovering our most precious resource – our water. WalCoMet is excited to announce the opening for a Maintenance Technician.
This position is expected to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electromechanical, and electrical machinery and equipment to ensure safe, efficient operation that meets all regulatory requirements. The Maintenance Technician is expected to coordinate with the operations department and under the general supervision of the Water Reclamation Superintendent. Candidate must be an energetic self-starter with excellent work record and able to work with minimal supervision. Ability to read construction drawings is essential. The successful candidate for this position must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license additional consideration will be given to individuals possessing a CDL, although not required. Trade, vocational or technical school degree/courses in related fields and/or experience along with knowledge and training in wastewater treatment plant and collection systems are desirable. Hourly wage range is $26.88-$36.36, DOQ. This is a full-time, non-exempt position.
