Village of Poynette ~ Public Works Maintenance Worker

Wage: $25.00 – $27.00 per hour

Position Description: The Village of Poynette is seeking applicants for the Public Works Maintenance Worker position. This position receives general administrative direction from the Director of Public Works. The Public Works Maintenance Worker position performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks in maintenance work, and operates equipment in the construction, operation, repair, maintenance, and replacement of Village water, wastewater, streetlight, building, and storm drainage facilities.

Expected and Desired Qualifications: 

Education: High School graduate or equivalent required.

Experience: Some municipal utility maintenance experience preferred.

Certifications/Licenses: Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record for eligibility of Village’s coverage, required.  Possession of CDL, and Heavy Equipment Operator’s license, or the ability to obtain within 1 year of hire.
