The City of West Bend is seeking applications for a full-time, entry-level Sewer Operations Specialist In-Training. We are looking for motivated individuals eager to learn and grow into this essential utility role.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License
- CDL Class B/C with endorsements N (tanker) and air brakes preferred; must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening, physical, and background check.
- Mechanical skills or experience in heavy equipment operation, maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, or electrical is a plus.
Advancement Opportunities:
- Promotion available after:
- Earning Wisconsin DNR wastewater certifications in subclasses: A1, A2, B, C, P, D, L, SS
- Completion of 2 years of service in the Sewer Utility.
Work Schedule & Compensation:
- Schedule:4-day workweek (10-hour days), with weekend rotation and on-call duties after training. A 30-minute response time is required within 6 months of hire.
- Starting Pay:$30.48
