Utility Accounting Assistant

Village of Oregon is currently accepting applications for the part-time (36 hours) per week position of Utility Accounting Assistant.  Responsibilities will include the ability to perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, billing, customer service, and administrative support tasks and duties for the Village’s Finance Department primarily in support of the Village’s water and sewer utilities.

Salary and Benefits:  Hourly wage range for this position is:  $22.66 – $25.25 per hour dependent on experience. The Village offers a generous full benefit package that includes family health insurance, vacation, annual floating holidays, 10 paid holidays, and Wisconsin Retirement System.

Qualifications:  High School Diploma or GED, post-secondary course work completed, or one to two years’ experience related to bookkeeping, accounting or related field, one to two years of customer service experience, and valid Wisconsin Driver’s License required.  Must have the ability to pass an in-depth background check.
