NEW Water, the brand of the Green Bay Metropolitan Sewerage District, is looking for a highly skilled, Wastewater Treatment Operator II, who is able to operate, monitor and adjust wastewater equipment. About the Position:  The primary role of this position is to develop the skills, knowledge, and experience required to operate all NEW Water treatment processes and their associated equipment at both of NEW Water’s wastewater treatment facilities.  This position will assist Operator III in coordination with other departments to troubleshoot process problems as needed. Operator II will support data collection efforts in order to prepare reports for use by NEW Water management and external consultants on the performance of processes and equipment.  This position will prepare the candidate for potential advancement to an Operator III role.

Compensation: (*not including shift differential, overtime or other premium pay)

  • Operator II Hiring Wage Range: *$53,664 -$63,065
  • Operator II Full Grade Range: *$53,664 -$75,753
    • Advancement to the Operator III role typically happens within 2 years
      • The Operator III Salary Range is *$60,008-$84,718
