City of Chippewa Falls is accepting applications for a full-time Wastewater Treatment/Collection System Operator. A strong mechanical aptitude is desired as this position is responsible for operating and performing preventive and corrective maintenance to all Wastewater Department facilities, lift stations, equipment and collection system. Additional duties include collecting samples and performing process control testing; performing basic laboratory analysis and routine cleaning; snow removal and grass cutting; and assisting Public Works Department with winter street maintenance/snow removal.
Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent is required. Applicant must hold a valid driver’s license and be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. routinely and up to 100 lbs. occasionally. Eligible applicants should possess a WI DNR Wastewater Operator-in-Training Certification level or higher and WI CDL or ability to obtain each within required time frame. Workweek will include some weekends and some holidays. Wage is $26.16 – $27.75 per hour depending on WDNR certifications and qualifications.
