City of Chilton seeks a full-time Wastewater/Water Operator. As a Wastewater/Water Operator you will be responsible for day-to-day operations of all equipment and processes including D.N.R. permit requirements associated with the wastewater and water treatment plants including: sanitary sewer collection system, lift station, laboratory testing, wastewater plant and water treatment, well distribution system, and snow plowing.
Education/Experience: High School diploma or GED, or vocational/technical training program or equivalent experience.
Preferred Candidate will also have Wastewater Basic and Groundwater Distribution and Zeolite 1certifications with the ability to obtain additional pertinent subclasses within 5 years. A CDL is required with pertinent endorsement.
This position is subject to a 24-hour call out as needed and will be in the department’s weekend rotation. Competitive wage (starting range $27.64 – $32.10) and benefit package. Qualified applicants will be required to pass pre-employment testing.
