What You’ll Do

  • Repair and maintain water mains, service lines, valves, and hydrants.
  • Operate equipment and work on a variety of outdoor projects.
  • Restore streets, sidewalks, and landscaping after repairs.
  • Perform routine maintenance to keep the City’s water system running.
  • Respond to emergency repairs and participate in an on-call rotation (about 5 weeks per year).

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Construction or utility experience is helpful, but we’re willing to train motivated candidates.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all seasons and be part of a team.
  • Ability to obtain a Wisconsin Class A CDL with tanker endorsement within 90 days of hire (training provided).

SALARY RANGE: We offer a competitive compensation package ($25.50 to $28.72/hour) based upon knowledge, skills, and abilities with potential to receive additional step increases based on meeting and/or exceeding goals/expectations; annual COLA and step increases pending City Council approval of budgets; and future promotional opportunities in alignment with succession and career path.
