The City of Neenah Water Utility is looking for a well organized, detail oriented, and energetic person to operate and maintain the lime softening water filtration plant.
- Operating, monitoring and maintaining water treatment equipment
- Performing laboratory analysis
- Maintaining plant records
- Calculating appropriate chemical dosages
- Adjusting chemical feed equipment.
The candidate must have a Wisconsin DNR water treatment license with subclasses in surface water, lime softening, and distribution, or be able to obtain the required subclasses within twelve months of hire, two years water treatment experience preferred, an associate’s degree in water treatment technology or a related field, good customer service and communication skills, the ability to work in confined spaces while wearing a self-contained breathing apparatus, and computer skills.
We are in need of a regular Operator who will work a set shift as well as a relief Operator. The Relief Operator fills in for Operators during vacations, etc. When not operating, he/she works on plant maintenance or quality control projects. This is a full time position. Overtime may occasionally be required. The City of Neenah offers competitive pay and excellent benefits.
