Fontana Walworth Water Pollution Control Commission (FWWPCC) is accepting applications for a full-time Wastewater Operator.
We’re seeking a motivated individual with a strong mechanical aptitude to join our team. This position is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining all FWWPCC facilities, equipment, and collection systems.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on treatment plant equipment and collection systems
- Collect samples, perform process control testing, record keeping and basic laboratory analysis
- Conduct routine facility cleaning, snow removal, and lawn maintenance
- Serve as on-call operator for a seven-day period on a rotating schedule (including holidays)
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Wisconsin Wastewater Operator Certification (must be obtained within 12 months of hire)
Compensation and Benefits:
- Starting pay: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour, depending on qualifications
