Village of Ellsworth is seeking a qualified candidate for a full-time position in the Public Works Department. This position is primarily responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Village’s wastewater and water treatment systems.

Additional responsibilities include maintenance and operations related to streets, parks, and municipal buildings, as well as snow removal and a variety of equipment and facility maintenance and repair tasks.  Typical work schedule is Monday–Friday during the winter months and a four-day workweek during the summer months, along with a rotating weekend and holiday schedule.

A current Class B CDL license with tanker endorsement or obtained within 3 months of employment required. Water/wastewater certification is required within 24 months of employment. High school diploma or GED required.

Leadperson Opportunity:

A Wastewater/Water Leadperson assignment may be available for qualified candidates at the time of hire or as a future advancement opportunity. This role includes additional responsibilities related to treatment system operations, regulatory compliance, and coordination of daily activities, and provides additional compensation.

The Village of Ellsworth offers a competitive wage and benefit package, including health, life and dental insurance, paid holidays, PTO and Wisconsin Retirement Program.  The anticipated starting pay is $33.85 per hour.
